Students present plight of refugees
A team of Year 12 students presented to the entire Sixth Form in a special assembly aimed to educate and raise awareness about the Rohinya Muslim community of Myanmar. The presentation held particular importance to one of the team, who himself had first experience of the situation, having lived the first 8 years of his life in a refugee camp.
The students have been working for the previous 8 weeks with colleagues from the national charity Linking Network to prepare the presentation which was filmed and it will act as the school's entry in a national competition to create a video highlighting the UK's aid efforts to support the Rohingya people.
We were delighted that the story was covered by the Telegraph & Argus. You can read their detailed report on their website by clicking here.
Congratulations to everyone involved and good luck with the competition, the results of which are expected very soon.
