Grange launches New To English Hub
We are delighted that The Southfield Grange Trust has been selected as a New to English (NTE) Hub by the Local Authority to work in partnership with local schools on developing our NTE provision.
Our students come from many different backgrounds, with 32 different home languages spoken across the Campus. Supporting students and their families to access and understand the values and aspirations of our school is key to the success and wellbeing of students who are new to the UK. We also promote and celebrate the culture and diversity of our students and are enriched by their being part of our community.
We held our first NTE Hub meeting on 10th February, which was attended by representatives from Appleton Academy, Bradford Academy, Queensbury, Laisterdyke and Buttershaw. There were lots of exciting development ideas discussed and we are looking forward to working in partnership with schools to strengthen community cohesion and provision for NTE students across the District.
