Auschwitz trip "a gripping and harrowing experience."
Sixth Former Samirah Khan described her trip to Auschwitz "a gripping and harrowing experience that will always continue to be a lasting memory."
Samirah is one of five Sixth Formers from Grange to make the journey to Poland in May to visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi death-camp where an estimated 1.1 million people were killed during the Second World War. Along with one student from our neighbours in Southfield School, the group joined others from across Yorkshire and the Humber on the trip which was organised by UK charity The Holocaust Education Trust.
Also in attendance on the trip was local Education Reporter, Chris Young from the Bradford Telegraph & Argus newspaper who wrote a fitting article for their edition on Friday 6th May. Read it here.
On their return to school the students have took heed of the lessons learned by planning a presentation about their experiences that day to deliver to their peers during assembly.
